A very warm welcome
As the school holidays draw to an end, our Area Managers have been busy with one of their favourite parts of the school year, the Meet and Greets.
Pippa’s Guardians personally welcomes students and their parents as they arrive in the UK in readiness to start their new adventure. These valuable face-to-face meetings allow us to get to know the students and build strong relationships so that we can support them over many years. We introduce our host families by visiting them together at their home so parents can also see where their child will be staying. We also help arrange school uniform and other equipment such as bedding or sports kit as needed.
We understand how anxious parents and students can be, especially in the first few weeks, but our Area Managers are close by and check in with the students regularly to support them and ensure the start of term is as smooth as possible.

A big family meet and greet for Pippa’s Area Manager Sarah N! Sarah already supports Kayley and her brother Aidan at Oundle School and now their younger sister Camille is joining them. Their cousin Daphne is also joining Pippa’s Guardians and will be studying at Kent College. Her younger brother, Mum and Dad were also visiting and able to meet Sarah.

Pippa’s Area Manager Gemma, met Asahi as he arrived at his Host family. He will stay with his host family until term begins at Taunton International Middle School in September. Asahi will be entering Year 7 and was tired after his long trip from Japan and was happy for be welcomed by Mandy and Peter and their two cats!

Ziv and Elisa were greeted by Elaine, their Pippa’s Area Manager. Elaine got to know the students and their family over a traditional afternoon tea. They will be studying at Oxford International College – Brighton.

Pippa’s Area Manager Belinda, celebrated her birthday with Yvonne and her family.
Yvonne is starting at Queen Margaret’s in York. She came with her mum, dad and sister and will enjoy a few days in York before starting school on Sunday.

Pippa’s Area Manager Touche, took Alvin for a uniform fitting for Wells Cathedral School. Afterwards, they went on to meet Alvin’s host family at their home. Alvin’s parents said they were relieved that he will be staying with such a kind and caring family in a beautiful home.

Rinzei will be joining Christ’s Hospital School and will be studying Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. Before the start of term he is enjoying getting to know the Riley family who will be his host family during school breaks.

Alexander is joining the Sixth Form a Cheltenham College. His family and his Pippa’s Area Manager Sarah D, had a tour of his host family’s home and as the sun was shining, they had tea and cake in the garden.

Pippa’s Area Manager Elaine had the pleasure of meeting some of her new students at Roedean at their welcome drinks reception in the Cloisters followed by a welcome presentation in the theatre by Niamh Green, the Headmistress.

Shining will be starting year 10 at King’s College Taunton, together with her parents, she joined everyone for lunch.

Ryan and his parents were very happy after visiting his host family in Malvern for the first time. The youngest member of the host family is 10 years old and is very muh looking forward to playing lots of football with Ryan and also with Markus, another Pippa’s student who will also be staying with them.

It is always our pleasure to welcome our new students and their families to Pippa’s Guardians. This is the start of an exciting journey where we will look after and support your child as if they were part of our own family.
