Easter fun

The Easter holiday gives a lot of our students the opportunity to make the journey home to spend some time catching up with family and friends. Many of those who don’t return home stay with one of our wonderful host families who help to make the Easter holidays an enjoyable one.

The Pippa’s Area Managers and our travel team help to coordinate our students’ travel plans to ensure they can reliably and safely get where they need to be, an airport, host family or to meet their families and then back to school for the new term.

Here are some stories about what some of these students were up to over the recent Easter break.

Rika from Tudor Hall School was lucky enough to enjoy a ski trip to Italy for the first week of the Easter holidays. She returned on a Saturday morning and was flying home that evening, so Area Manager Sam took Rika to Windsor for the day to see the sights, do some shopping and have lunch. They also met up with Area Manager Michelle, who brought along her daughter, and it was lovely for Rika to have some young company for a few hours before she flew home.

Veronica and her friend Hani entered the Pippa’s Guardians East Bake Off Competition with this incredible creation, and had an English Easter afternoon tea. The girls made the cake entirely on their own after shopping for all the ingredients. Very impressive indeed!

Another entry into the Baking Competition was this delicious-looking carrot-themed cake. It was a real host family-student collaboration, with the cake being baked by the host family’s son, Jake, the fondant icing bunnies made by students Emily and Lee, and the chocolate Easter egg decorations made by Emily. Well done all!

Pippa’s Guardians Area Managers and Chaperones were at airports on busy travel days to assist students who were departing and arriving. They were on hand to help any students with travel issues and to offer reassurance, especially to those who were still a little anxious about travelling alone.

We wish everyone a happy and successful summer term!
