Rebecca, the Chinese Liaison Officer at Pippa’s Guardians, hails from Guangdong, China, and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business Management from the University of Gloucestershire. She is also a Montessori-educated professional, having obtained a Diploma in Montessori Education from Montessori Global Education. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and Chaozhou Hua (her mother tongue), Rebecca has a diverse background with experience in import, export, business consultancy, and the automotive industry. She discovered her true calling as a Montessori Teacher at The Elms School in Malvern. Now residing in Gloucestershire, UK, Rebecca is married with two daughters, aged seven and eleven.
Rebecca plays a vital role in facilitating communication and resolving parental issues within Pippa’s Guardians. Collaborating closely with experienced Area Managers, she oversees translation materials and manages Pippa’s Guardians’ WeChat accounts. Acting as a communication bridge, Rebecca is easily accessible through various channels, including WeChat, email, phone, and WhatsApp, to assist with any communication-related needs between parents and Area Managers.
For children enrolled in Pippa’s Guardians camps, Rebecca takes on the responsibility of daily communication, providing feedback on wellbeing, sharing camp photos and videos, and addressing any issues that may arise. Her role is essential for clear and effective communication between parents and the company, particularly concerning their child’s well-being and activities.
Rebecca, having arrived in the UK as a solitary student, fully understands the experience of being abroad alone. As a mother, she empathises with parents’ concerns about their children in a foreign country. Throughout your child’s UK study period, she aims to be a bridge connecting you with Pippa’s Guardians Area Management team and assisting your child in adapting to boarding school life.
Rebecca has firsthand experience of living away from home during high school in China and later while attending university in the UK. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of the challenges of studying abroad alone. She is sensitive to the difficulties that both students and their families encounter when adapting to the cultural and linguistic differences between China and the UK.
