Junior Programme: A Fun and Supportive Half Term Holiday

Our Junior Programme is specially designed for children aged 10–12 who benefit from additional structure, guidance and support while enjoying an exciting and rewarding half term holiday. The programme combines fun activities, academic support and carefully supervised experiences to create a safe, engaging and memorable school holiday.

At this important stage of childhood, children are developing their independence, confidence and sense of responsibility. Our Junior Programme provides the right level of support while encouraging children to become more independent at their own pace. Clear routines, greater supervision and age-appropriate expectations help children feel confident, settled and ready to make the most of their half term holiday.

A Supportive and Structured Half Term Holiday

We recognise that children aged 10–12 can benefit from a little more structure than older students. Our Junior Programme provides clear routines and additional supervision to help children navigate their day with confidence.

Bedtimes are slightly earlier, phone access is more limited and excursions are carefully selected and supervised with the age and needs of our junior students in mind. This creates a supportive environment where children can enjoy new experiences while feeling secure and well cared for.

The balance of structure, guidance and freedom helps children develop confidence and independence without feeling overwhelmed.

Academic Support During the Half Term Holiday

Although many children in this age group may not yet be preparing for important examinations, we understand that maintaining good study habits during a half term holiday can be valuable.

Students have dedicated opportunities to catch up on schoolwork, revise key topics or strengthen areas where they may need additional support. Our on-site tutors in Maths, English and Science are available to provide guidance, answer questions and help students approach their schoolwork with greater confidence.

This provides valuable academic continuity while ensuring that study remains just one part of a much broader and enjoyable half term experience.

Fun Activities and New Experiences

Outside of study time, children can enjoy a varied programme of half term activities, designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, confidence and curiosity.

Activities may include:

  • Sports and team activities
  • Cookery
  • Arts and crafts
  • Local excursions
  • Social activities and group experiences

These activities give children the opportunity to discover new interests, develop practical skills, make friends and enjoy memorable experiences outside the classroom.

Helping Children Grow in Confidence

Our Junior Programme is designed to give children the opportunity to try new things, make choices and gradually take greater responsibility in a supportive setting. With appropriate supervision and encouragement, students can build confidence while developing important skills such as teamwork, communication, time management and independence.

A Memorable Half Term Holiday

Above all, the Junior Programme is about giving every child a fun, safe and rewarding half term holiday. By combining age-appropriate supervision, clear routines, academic support and a wide range of activities, we create an environment where children can learn, explore, make friends and grow in confidence.

With the right balance of care, structure, independence and enjoyment, our Junior Programme helps every child make the most of their half term holiday while creating memories they can take home with them.

What does the junior programme include?

  • Sports & Fitness – Football, tennis, cricket, swimming, basketball, badminton, netball, tag rugby, and more. Students also enjoy supervised gym sessions.
  • Creativity & Wellbeing – Dance, art, and cookery sessions help students unwind and express themselves. Team challenges and crafts encourage collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Evening Socials – Themed nights, quiz competitions, and games provide opportunities for students to relax, socialise, and build lasting friendships in a safe, homely setting.
  • Excursions – A Pippa’s Camp experience goes beyond the classroom and sports field. Each half term camp includes excursions that immerse international students in British culture and life. These supervised trips are designed to be both fun and educational, broadening horizons and creating memories that last a lifetime.

What are the benefits of this programme?

Our programme gives students a good balance of study, support and fun. Students have dedicated time to study and revise during the half term. This helps them prepare for tests and exams and keep up with their schoolwork.

Students can also get extra help from our tutors during the school holiday. Our tutors can help with Maths, English and Science. Students can ask questions and work on areas where they need more support. They can also learn new and useful revision techniques.

Students study alongside other young people who are also focused on their schoolwork. This creates a positive and supportive environment. Students can encourage each other and build confidence in their studies.

There is also plenty of time to have fun and enjoy being with other students. Students take part in activities, make new friends and enjoy time together. For many students, having fun with their peers is one of the best parts of camp.

At the end of the programme, students return to school feeling refreshed, more confident and better prepared for the school term ahead.
