Our Services
We provide one-to-one academic support from leading UK teachers who tailor every lesson to the student’s school syllabus, goals, and pace.
11+ and 13+ Entrance Preparation
Working in close partnership with Pippa’s School Advice Service, we prepare students who are aiming for entry into prestigious British schools.
Our teachers draw on their own experience of teaching and interviewing in leading independent schools to ensure students are fully prepared for:
- Pre-tests and entrance exams (ISEB, CAT4, CEM, and school-specific papers)
- Any additional English support needed
- Interview and communication skills
- Critical reasoning, comprehension, and creative writing
Our goal is not simply to help students pass exams, but to ensure they arrive at their new school confident, curious, and ready to thrive.
EAL (English as an Additional Language)
Our EAL programmes are designed for international students who are joining or currently studying in British schools and want to strengthen their academic English.
Lessons are delivered by qualified EAL specialists with extensive experience supporting multilingual learners in independent school settings.
Our teachers help students to:
- Develop academic writing, reading comprehension, and vocabulary for all subjects
- Build spoken confidence for classroom discussions and interviews
- Improve understanding of subject-specific language in Science, Literature, and Humanities
- Prepare for entry assessments and ongoing school reports mapped to CEFR levels
For families overseas, our EAL support can begin before the student arrives in the UK — helping them settle into their new school ready to thrive from day one.
GCSE and IGCSE Support
Our GCSE subject support is built around expert classroom teaching that strengthens understanding and technique at every level.
Each lesson is led by a teacher who knows the exact specification your child is following and can provide:
- Examiner-style marking and feedback on past papers
- Reinforcement of key concepts
- Step-by-step guidance on essay structure and analytical writing
- Ongoing tracking of progress to ensure consistent improvement and feedback to parents, schools and Area Managers
Our approach helps students develop a deep understanding of their subjects, not just short-term exam strategies.
A Level and IB Tuition
At A Level and IB, our teachers are highly experienced subject specialists who help students make the crucial step from classroom learning to university-level analysis and expression.
Many are current or former sixth-form teachers at leading independent schools, ensuring that every lesson complements school coursework and aligns precisely with exam board expectations.
Our goal is to help students think like scholars — mastering not only what to learn, but how to articulate ideas with clarity, originality, and academic confidence.
How It Works & Pricing
We believe academic support should be personal, flexible, and transparent.
There is no minimum commitment — families can book lessons as and when needed, whether for regular weekly sessions or focused short-term support before exams.
Here’s how it works:
- Initial Consultation: We arrange a short call to understand your child’s needs, school curriculum, and goals.
- Teacher Match: Based on this, we recommend a teacher whose expertise and personality will suit your child. (We know how much the right fit matters)
- Flexible Lessons: Lessons are arranged at times that work for you. It’s easy to adjust frequency or try a different teacher if circumstances or preferences change.
Our teachers are paid professional rates that reflect their qualifications and experience, and all pricing is discussed openly before lessons begin.

Why Choose Pippa’s Academics?
What makes Pippa’s Academics different is the way we work in partnership with schools and families. Our teachers are all qualified professionals who understand how to complement — not compete with — the learning taking place in school.
We maintain an active dialogue with school staff and Pippa’s Area Managers to ensure that every student’s academic support is targeted, appropriate, and aligned with their current schoolwork. This joined-up approach means tutoring never happens in isolation — it reinforces what matters most, at the right level and pace.
Our goal is to make every lesson purposeful and effective, ensuring students receive the help they need without unnecessary screen time or duplication. It’s a thoughtful, balanced approach that reflects the same care and professionalism that define Pippa’s Guardians as a whole.
